Development, Discovery and Surrender

Led by Kulaprabha, Saddhanandi, Jnanarajni

Friday 07 March - Friday 14 March

For OMs, Mitras and FWBO practitioners who have a regular meditation practice and are familiar with the seven-fold puja

On this retreat we will explore three "myths" of Buddhahood: self-development, self-discovery and self-surrender. These incorporate different Buddhist views that underpin different Buddhist traditions: Early Buddhism, the Tathagatagarbha and Pure Land.

Views underpin our whole outlook on life: to understand our "views" is to understand ourselves. We will explore three different views or myths, looking at their historical development and how they manifest in us. Separately each view has its own strengths and weaknesses, but together they weave a rich mandala of spiritual practice.

Come and explore the myths of:
Freedom Exemplified (Pali Canon - the "Historical Buddha")
Buddha-nature (Tathagatagarbha - the "Buddha Within")
Faith and Surrender (Pure Land - the "Buddha Beyond")
