The teaching programme will take different levels of experience into account
A meditation and reflection retreat for women in recovery from addiction. The weekend will provide space and time to explore ourselves and our relationship to both our recovery programs and 'step 11'. Prior knowledge of meditation is not necessary. Those women who are in programs other than the '12 Step' model are also welcome. This retreat is open to all levels of meditation experience. Meditation and reflection are a large part of a healthy recovery program. During this retreat we will explore different types of meditation techniques and explore how these can bolster our recovery. Recovery is also about facing ourselves and becoming more aware and more alive in ourselves and how we are in the world. Awareness and mindfulness which meditation can help support also in turn strengthen the foundations of our recovery. We learn from each other and we support each other. This is the magic of these retreats, to be with other women who understand the strength, courage, pain and joys inherent in the path of recovery. This will be the fourth 12 Into 5 Retreat that Taraloka has offered. Each one has been different and each one has had a slightly different theme, though all are based on meditation and reflection. We ask that those attending have a minimum of one year in a recovery program, though this can be flexible. Padumachitta writes: "Vajralila, the Team and I look forward to this retreat. Please come and join us!"
