If you are booking onto a newcomers weekend, an open retreat or intensive meditation retreat you will either have the Taraloka team or another volunteer cooking for you. You will have opportunities to help chop the vegetables, keep the kitchen clean and tidy and learn more about vegan cooking (if you're not in silence!) while you are here.
On other retreats you will share the cooking and serve food together. The menus are all planned out for you and the food quantities and timings are set up by someone from the Taraloka Operations Team. There's plenty of opportunity to develop confidence, friendship and a sense of service around the cooking of nutritious and tasty food on retreat.
