Dealing with Death, Living with Loss
Led by Siddhisambhava and Team
27th Nov - 1st Dec
This retreat is not only for those recently suffering, or still affected by, a bereavement. We all have to deal with loss in our life and, sooner or
later, we will face death too. Almost by definition, loss is transformative. A broken heart is a beautiful thing if we can let it help us accept reality, become more aware and sensitive, and mature spiritually.
On this retreat we will explore our experience of and response to our losses, look at the Buddhist attitude to life and death, prepare
more for death practically, see how we can integrate all this into everyday practice (including - if not especially - our meditation), and find more meaning in, and enthusiam for, our life.
Siddhisambhava experienced multiple bereavement in her 30's, trained as a bereavement counsellor in 2000 and began
running 'loss and death' workshops in 2002. The team includes Kalyanavati who works in a hospice in Brighton and is training in bereavement counselling, also with Cruse, this year.
