Reclaiming our Human Ground (1)
Led by Saddhanandi
8th - 15th July
This meditation retreat will be based around the Buddhist practice of mindfulness, as described in the Satipatthana Sutta, one of the oldest texts from the Buddhist
canon.
On the retreat will explore the first few sections of the sutta, using the body and our physical experience to anchor our awareness within the present moment. In this
way we will begin to reveal the truth of this human condition: pleasure, pain, joy and suffering, and how the path of insight is rooted in the experience of simply being human.
The daily programme will consist of about five meditation sessions, with introductory talks on the first few days followed by about three days of silence. There will
also be an opportunity for one-to-one meditation reviews with those women running the retreat.
