Reclaiming our Human Ground (2)
Led by Saddhanandi and Kulaprabha, resident members of the Taraloka Community.
29 Sept - 6 Oct
This meditation retreat will be based around the Buddhist practice of mindfulness, as described in the Satipatthana Sutta, one of the oldest texts from the Buddhist
canon.
The retreat will focus on two sections of the sutta: 'mind' and 'dhammas', looking at how these provide a helpful direction in meditation. We will explore the connection
between our 'awakening factors' and our 'hindrances', and also look at the nature of effort, all within the teaching of the Four Noble Truth: the human condition.
The daily programme will consist of about five meditation sessions, with introductory talks on the first few days followed by about three days of silence. There will
also be an opportunity for one-to-one meditation reviews with those women running the retreat.
