On this retreat we will explore our experience of loss, look at the Buddhist understanding of life and death, prepare more for death practically, and deepen our engagement with life. To be human is to face change, loss and grief, some of us seem to have our noses rubbed in that, others appear to have escaped it - for now. Most of us try to avoid it. Yet facing this experience (or the fear of it) can be a great spiritual opportunity. 'The only beauty that lasts is the beauty of the human heart'
