Practising Wisdom: The Two Truths
Led By Kulaprabha
This retreat is for FWBO Regulars
27 April-4 May 2007
Unique to Buddhist teaching is the view that there is a basic discrepancy between our perception of things and the way things actually are. This discrepancy is profound. It arises and is embedded in our core views of our self and our world. It is the source of suffering in the world. We'll be examining the Buddhist idea of 'the two truths' - discussing and meditating on what this might mean to us. The Mahayana approach to all this is covered with great thoroughness and poetic beauty in Shantideva's Bodhicaryavatara and in Nagurjuna's Verses from the Centre so these will be our texts of the week!
