What's a Retreat?

Our retreat schedules vary but all include meditation and periods of silence, along with other activities such as talks, workshops, study groups, and sometimes bodywork. Each day there is a household task, along with plenty of free time. Our retreats will all include some Buddhist ritual with the exception of introductory weekends.

A retreat is a break from one's usual routine within a special environment. It gives the space to experience ourselves anew, stepping free of habits into a more creative way of being. It's also a place to meet like-minded people, generating a friendly positive atmosphere in which greater self-awareness can be developed.
