A meditation retreat for mitras looking at ways to open our hearts and connect to ourselves and others with depth, vitality and integrity.
Our hearts are perhaps more poetic than literal, more imaginative than systematic, so how can the heart respond to a system of training? How can that in us which is wild and passionate come into relationship with principles and techiniques?
Come and join us to discover how a wholehearted engagement with loving-kindness can flower into integration, skilful intention, receptivity, spiritual death and spiritual rebirth. The week will explore how all five dimensions of our System of Practice can be approached through the cultivation of metta and the other brahma viharas (compassion, sympathetic joy and equanimity.) This retreat will have meditation as its main focus, but we'll also explore the material through short talks, discussion and ritual. We will have several days of silence, and there will be opportunities for meditation reviews.
