Body Heart Wisdom: Yoga Retreat
Yoga practice connects body, mind and heart in the play of movement and stillness. Add in the breath and we have the basis for a mindfulness practice that is dynamic, grounded and opening. Tap into the wisdom yoga and meditation have to offer us.
With 2 daily yoga sessions – one active, one restorative, some theory explorations, daily meditation, pranayama and yoga nidra we will have a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time with our whole being. It’s most suitable for those who have some yoga experience.
Warning: Yoga has been known to cause health and happiness.
When Aryajaya attended her first yoga class over 25 years ago and she felt that she had come ‘home’. She finds that yoga helps keep both mind and body fit and energetic, flexible, more relaxed, steady and calm. It is a great companion practice for meditation, helping the body be still and open to experience.
She teaches yoga, meditation and Buddhism in Cambridge. She has also done training with Bodhiyoga Mindfulness Yoga, workshops with Donna Farhi and Leslie Kaminoff. She was ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order in 2006 and her name means Noble Victory.
