Body Heart Wisdom: Yoga Retreat
Yoga practice connects body, mind and heart in the play of movement and stillness. Add in the breath and we have the basis for a mindfulness practice that is dynamic, grounded and opening. Tap into the wisdom yoga and meditation have to offer us.
With 2 daily yoga sessions – one active, one restorative, some theory explorations, daily meditation, pranayama and yoga nidra we will have a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time with our whole being. It’s most suitable for those who have some yoga experience. Warning: Yoga has been known to cause health and happiness.
Maitripushpa delights in exploring the worlds of meditation and yoga, separately and together. Ordained in the Triratna Buddhist Order in 2007, her early Soto Zen training in the curiosity of presence and years of vinyasa flow soft movement, Iyengar precision and Yin stopping and seeing continue to inform her practice: at once gentle but persistent, simple and practical. Her fascination with how the body reflects the mind/heart comes through in her creatively clear teaching.
