Introduction to our Retreats

Many of our retreats are open to all, whether or not you have any experience of meditation or Buddhism; others are specifically designed for newcomers and some are intended for people with particular levels of experience.

A Guide to Experience Levels

all:Open to all: The teaching programme will take different levels of experience into account
new:Newcomers/Introductory Level: For newcomers to Buddhism and/or meditation
int:Intermediate: For OMs, Mitras and FWBO practitioners who have a regular meditation practice and are familiar with the seven-fold puja
mit:Mitras: For women who have become Mitras ("friends") of the FWBO
gfr:Going For Refuge: For OMs and women who have asked for ordination into the WBO
ord:Order Members (OMs): For members of the Western Buddhist Order (WBO)
