I have been dancing for 51 years and have been facilitating movement practices and dance improvisation for over 25 years. I enjoy moving and creating in traditional theatre spaces as well as galleries, urban spaces, and natural landscapes.
I have spent many years developing ways in which the natural environment can be woven into live performance that takes place in doors. I engage in a regular practice of moving out of doors that includes rituals of honouring a particular place, dwelling in, listening, and responding to the more than human inhabitants of that place so that a dialogue emerges.
Over the past few years, I have been exploring ways of practising Dharma Movement and have been given the opportunity to share these explorations at Work Retreats, Introductory Weekends, The Great Gathering (2022) and Metta, Movement and Music Retreat (2022) - all at Taraloka. It is a delight to be sharing Dharma Movement at Taraloka and I am overjoyed to be on the team for Reimagining the Mandala: Art and Meditation.
I am a certified facilitator of Skinner Releasing Technique (a somatic movement practice), Tai Chi QiGong Shibashi, and Breath Body Mind practice.
