Hear ye hear ye! Taraloka are excited to declare the launching of two brand new residential retreats for 2021!
Break the Spell
Friday 9 - Friday 16 July (Maitrisiddhi + team)
A retreat for Triratna Mitras who wish to break free from bewitchment into the magical, open space of the Dharma.
If the events of 2020 have shown us anything, it's the truth of The Four Mind Turnings: life is precious, impermanence is inescapable, our choices shape our lives, and life includes suffering. It's never been more important to realise the preciousness of every moment, and the urgency of Dharma practice. Insight and true compassion come from a deep letting-go and turning towards what is true, real and possible. The Four Mind Turnings take us there.
The retreat programme will include meditation, presentations, devotional practice, small discussion groups and/or daily meditation reviews, and several days of full silence.
Metta, Music and Movement
Tuesday 31 August to Friday 3 September (Hridayagita and Sanghagita)
A retreat to nourish your hearts for Triratna regulars - a mid-week medley of meditation, music and movement. Dwelling in the Taraloka landscape, we will use singing and chanting, Tai Chi and other forms of movement meditation to turn towards whatever arises. This type of collective practice has been largely impossible during the pandemic - so we've found a way around it! Needing to be outdoors, retreat activities will largely use our beautiful, new Earth Sky Garden, so bring full waterproofs, brollies and layers to be prepared!
No previous musical or Tai Chi experience/expertise is required. Sanghagita is an experienced singer/choir leader, and Hridayagita is an advanced Tai Chi instructor.
*Please read and ensure you are able to comply with Taraloka's COVID 19 policies including around travel BEFORE booking your retreat. These retreat is able to run with full social distancing in place if needed. If you are unable to attend this retreat due to Government Covid 19 laws we will offer a full refund.*
