ONLINE EVENT: Uncontrived Mindfulness: turn your life into a retreat (for Order Members and Women training for Ordination)

Saturday, June 27, 2020 to Friday, July 3, 2020
Retreat Team:
Retreat Type:

A Taraloka on-line meditation retreat led by Vajradevi for Dharmacharinis and women training for ordination.

Retreat starts 10:30am Saturday 27th June and ends 9pm Friday 3rd July.

What is the relationship between mindfulness and wisdom? How can a seemingly simple practice of on-going awareness help us to know the nature of reality? On this retreat we will be using the Buddha's words in the Satipatthana Sutta to practice with this profound yet accessible teaching. Through periods of formal and informal meditation, we will cultivate awareness that is both receptive and reflexive. With continuity of practice the quality of our minds is transformed and a deeper understanding of the way things are is naturally revealed.

(You can read Vajradevi's meditation blog at www.uncontrivedmindfulness.net).

Paying for your retreat

Taraloka runs on generosity.

To book a retreat you pay a booking fee.  This is the only charge made for coming on retreat. We want Taraloka retreats to be available to any woman, whatever her financial situation.

At the end of your retreat, you have the opportunity to give money towards Taraloka.  If you are able to donate, you are giving to another woman who otherwise could not afford to come on retreat.  And you are helping to give the gift of Taraloka to the women of the future.
