Active Travel
You may like to complete part of your journey by walking or cycling. The location of Taraloka right next to the beautiful Llangollen Canal gives some excellent options for this.
If you can reach Whitchurch Station in Shropshire, the canal towpath starts a mile away from the station and provides a flat, tree-lined and meditative seven-mile direct route to Taraloka. The towpath is grass, not surfaced. Leave the canal at Cornhill Bridge (number 47) directly into Taraloka’s grounds.
If you’re feeling even more adventurous, Chirk Station (on the Shrewsbury-Chester line to the west) is right next to the canal 15 miles from Taraloka. This section of towpath includes a tunnel and an aqueduct.
Other options are Wem and Prees Stations, both around five miles away along quiet roads to the southeast.
