Acaladevi first came across the Triratna Buddhist Order in the Summer of 2007, when it occurred to her that it might be a good idea to train her mind and learn to meditate. To do this she went to a meditation class at the London Buddhist Centre. From then on her interest in meditation, and Buddhism, developed and deepened, and she was ordained in 2022. Her name means ‘Goddess of Unshakeable Awakening’.

Acaladevi lives in a Buddhist women’s community in East London and works in the charity shop for the London Buddhist Centre, Lama’s Pyjamas. She is training with Breathworks to become a mindfulness teacher.
