‘Six years ago, when I was supporting mitra study on the Refuge Tree, Shinran leapt out from the teachers of the past and urgently stated that I listen to his teachings. I did – and changed lifetime habits of striving hard to understand the world, the dharma and their complexities. I was grasped by Amida, the nembutsu, the Buddha’s Vow, True Entrusting and Other Power. This led to me going on a Triratna pilgrimage to Japan to make more connection with this powerful transformation. It confirmed that Shinran’s teachings suited me well. I’ve found Effortless Practice and a valued approach of surrender.’
