Maitrisiddhi is a well-known teacher within the Triratna Buddhist Community. She has lived at Taraloka Buddhist Retreat Centre in the Welsh Borders since 2009, and spends her time leading retreats, meeting people and doing what needs to be done to run a retreat centre! She has been visiting Aberystwyth to teach since 2014. Her name means ‘success, attainment or achievement based in unconditional love’. Before moving to a full-time Buddhist lifestyle she was (at different points) a physiotherapist, climbing instructor, waitress and mountaineer.
