Take a look at the plans for Taraloka’s new office! Our poor old office is way past the end of its life, with a collapsing floor and very poor insulation.The new building will have solar panels for green electricity, and excellent insulation making it eco-friendly to heat.
You’ll see the new building is in a different place – on what is now the carpark, in front of the White House, welcoming and visible as you come down the track. This means that we can keep on running Taraloka from the old office, and remove it after the new one is built.
Cutting back the brush in preparation for the new office
The office will be built during 2025, which is why we have fewer retreats on offer this year. Craig, Taraloka’s builder and long-time friend, will be doing the work. Some quieter work will be going on during some retreats (indicated in the retreat info), but it’ll all be happening away from the retreat centre, on the far side of the car park, so hopefully won’t impact your retreat experience.
