What is Meditation?
Every action comes from the mind: this is a Buddhist teaching. Meditation is a way of working directly with the mind, training ourselves in kindness, awareness and clarity.
We can learn how to stay more grounded and resilient, no matter what the situation. We can touch into a greater compassion that will never become fatigued. And we can learn how to live life with greater joy, kindness and aliveness. This benefits us, it benefits those close to us, and it changes the world around us.
In the Triratna Buddhist Community we teach two main meditations, one focusing on mindfulness, and one cultivating loving kindness.
